Canberra’s opening set of 2023 Australia Cup fixtures have been locked in following Wednesday’s Preliminary Rounds Three and Four Draw.
The 22 sides from the Capital who entered this year’s Preliminary Rounds all learned their fate following the draw conducted by Russ Gibbs and three-time Capital Football Cup winning coach, Frank Cachia.
12 Canberra Premier League and community teams will battle it out in Round 3 which is scheduled to kick off on February 25 before NPL Capital Football sides enter the competition in Round 4.
In Preliminary Round 4 Monaro Panthers, who reached the Round of 32 for the first time last season will travel to face Wagga City Wanderers.
Defending NPL CF Champions Canberra Croatia will host former Round of 32 entrant in Tigers FC at Deakin Stadium.
Two more sides who have previously competed in the national stages of the cup in Tuggeranong United and Canberra Olympic will go head-to-head in another blockbuster Preliminary Round 4 tie.
O’Connor Knights will host Gungahlin United in the final all NPL CF fixture of the fourth round.
