Bobo 'proud' of Westfield FFA Cup champions Sydney FC

Westfield FFA Cup Final match-winner Bobo deflected praise to his teammates after Sydney FC survived a war of attrition against Adelaide United to win the competition for the first time in an epic finale.

Bobo headed home Adrian Mierzejewski's 111th-minute free-kick to seal a dramatic 2-1 victory and erase the pain of last year's defeat to Melbourne City on Tuesday night.

Milos Ninkovic earlier opened the scoring in the 19th minute, before Nikola Mileusnic's superb second half equaliser set up a thrilling conclusion.

But the Brazilian's late intervention secured the Sky Blues' third trophy in succession and his own hat-trick since arriving in Australia.

"I am proud of the boys," Bobo told Fox Sports.

"We worked hard for 120 minutes and the end we got the result. Amazing.

"We work hard on set pieces in training and I’m happy to help my team.

"We work together. That’s why we have three trophies."

Bobo battled with former teammate Ersan Gulum.

Just 72 hours after edging Newcastle Jets in a top-of-the-table Hyundai A-League clash, Sydney were pushed until the very end by a resilient Reds.

"I can’t walk now," Bobo joked.

"But it’s about belief. At the end we got the profits."
