And 10 spots are allocated to the A-League clubs, with the top 8 at the end of the regular season qualifying directly, and two qualifying via a playoff between the bottom four.
Victoria have been awarded an additional Round of 32 spot in 2022 as a result of the National NPL Finals Series not being played in 2021.
The decision to award Football Victoria one additional berth in the Final Rounds of the Australia Cup is for 2022 only. The slot will return to Football Australia in 2023.
