The first ever Australia Cup 2022 Final Rounds Playoffs involving clubs from the Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s competition are now confirmed, with the Newcastle Jets (9th) to host Perth Glory (12th), whilst the Western Sydney Wanderers (10th) welcome Brisbane Roar (11th), where the winners will advance to the Round of 32.
McDonald Jones Stadium will be the venue for the Jets vs Glory encounter this Thursday 12 May, with the Wanderers and the Roar to meet at Wanderers Football Park within the Blacktown International Sportspark on Friday 13 May. Both games will kick-off at 7.30pm AEST.
The winners of these two Playoff matches will each seal a spot in the Australia Cup 2022 Final Rounds alongside the top eight (8) A-League Men’s clubs from the current campaign, as well as 22 clubs from a variety of levels and locations from right across Australia’s football ecosystem.
The Draw for the Round of 32 is set to place in late June, with the Australia Cup 2022 Final Rounds planned to commence in mid-July. The Australia Cup 2022 Final is earmarked for October 1, 2022.
Every match in the Australia Cup 2022 – including this week’s Final Rounds Playoffs – will be broadcast live and free across the nation on Network 10 via 10Play.
