Australia Cup 2022 Semi Finals match schedule confirmed

The match schedule for the Australia Cup 2022 Semi Finals was released by Football Australia today, where for the first time in the competition’s history, two National Premier League (NPL) clubs will feature, and each will host Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s opposition.

Competing first for a place in the Australia Cup 2022 Final will be NPL side, Sydney United 58 FC (NSW) hosting Brisbane Roar at Sydney United Sports Centre on Sunday, 11 September at 2.00pm AEST.

Sydney United 58 FC knocked out reigning A-League Men Champions, Western United FC in the Round of 16 before defeating Peninsula Power FC (QLD) 1-0 in the Sunshine State during the Quarter-Finals phase. Their opponents, the Roar secured their place in the final four with a 2-1 away win against Adelaide United FC.

The second Semi Final will see Oakleigh Cannons FC (VIC) host A-League Men side Macarthur FC under lights at Jack Edwards Reserve in Melbourne on Wednesday, 14 September in a 7.30pm AEST kick-off.

Oakleigh’s remarkable Cup run saw them reach the semis with a headline grabbing 2-1 win over A-League Men outfit and previous winner, Sydney FC, while Macarthur FC clinched a 2-0 home victory over Wellington Phoenix.

The Australia Cup is the only competition in Australian sport where amateur clubs get the opportunity to compete against the sport’s premier clubs, in their shared vision of being crowned Cup Winners.

In 2022, 742 clubs competed in this year’s knockout competition, where two semi-professional sides will meet two fully professional sides in the Semi Finals, showcasing the true Magic of the Cup!

Tickets for the Australia Cup 2022 Semi Finals matches will be released by the host clubs, with ticket information also made available on the official Australia Cup website.

Both Australia Cup 2022 Semi Finals will be broadcast LIVE and FREE on 10 Play, thanks to Football Australia’s Broadcast Partner, Network 10.
