For the third successive season, Newcastle Jets are in the Australia Cup Playoffs and will need to advance past Melbourne Victory in Darwin to qualify for the Final Rounds.
The Jets have a 50% record in those matches, losing 2-1 in 2021 and winning 3-1 in 2022 against Western United and Perth Glory respectively.
Like last year, the Australia Cup 2023 Playoffs features the four clubs that finished 9th to 12th in the Isuzu UTE A-League Men 2022/23 regular season.
