The Preliminary Rounds of the Australia Cup have begun in South Australia, Victoria and Queensland this past weekend.

South Australia
SAASL Division 1 side Ghan United caused a major upset defeating State League 1 outfit Para Hills Knight 5-3 on Sunday. Seaford Rangers also caused a 'cupset' as the State League 2 club knocked out State League 1's Fulham United.

Queensland
Matches in South East and Regional Queensland kicked off with goals galore including two ten-goal thrillers and an eight-goal epic going to penalties.
Victoria
In Victoria games got underway with teams from across State League 3, 4 and 5 and Regional/Association Clubs. Metro 4 side Swinburne FC defeated State League 4 club Lyndale United, five tiers above, on penalties in a major 'cupset'. Read more about their against the odds triumph here.
