Club in Focus: Macarthur FC

Current Australia Cup holders Macarthur FC returned to the Australia Cup 2023 Final Rounds after smashing Perth Glory 4-0 via the playoffs in Darwin.

What started as a season with so much promise after winning the 2022 iteration of the competition against Sydney United 58 FC, the Bulls' fortunes quickly turned south and finished with the A-League Men's wooden spoon and had to qualify.

But following a dominant 4-0 win with a largely youthful Bulls team, and some strong signings, optimism has been renewed.

Mile Sterjovski remains in charge after initially accepting the head coaching role on an interim basis before subsequently taking the job permanently following Dwight Yorke's departure in January 2023.

His next test will be NPL South Australian side Campbelltown City.
