Adelaide United defender Scott Galloway said the training standard at the Reds is “completely different” to what he has experienced at other Australian clubs.
Galloway has experienced somewhat of a nomadic career to date, the 23-year-old having played for Melbourne Victory, Central Coast Mariners and Wellington Phoenix in the Hyundai A-League.
He is hopeful of becoming an established member of Adelaide’s first-team squad, though, particularly with the October 30 FFA Cup Final on the horizon.

Galloway made a great start to life in red with a terrific debut goal on Friday evening, a strike that ensured Adelaide would take a point from a 1-1 draw with Hyundai A-League heavyweights Sydney FC.
Adelaide will play the same opponents in next week’s FFA Cup decider at Coopers Stadium and ahead of the clash, Galloway expanded on the major impact United head coach Marco Kurz has already had on him.
“He’s given me the confidence and he keeps telling me that I’ve [got] quality,” he told reporters.
“Last year [at Phoenix] was a disappointing year for myself, but coming here I wanted to come to a team that was going to compete for titles and really push for spots.
“And have some real quality players around me and under a quality coach where I’m going to learn constantly.
“The training standard is completely different from where I’ve ever been, the intensity, the amount that we train and that’s what I love.”
Galloway - who has represented Australia at youth levels - will aim to help United get over the heartbreak they suffered in last year’s FFA Cup Final.
Sydney won that clash 2-1, after extra time, thanks to Bobo’s 111th-minute goal.
