Liam Boland's stunning winner: The second-ever Australia Cup upset

Victorian side Green Gully became the second-ever NPL team to eliminate an A-League Men's outfit in the Australia Cup.

August 2, 2016 saw the Cavaliers entertain Central Coast Mariners at Green Gully Reserve in the Round of 32.

The Mariners were seemingly in control after Blake Powell's 16th minute volley, but the match turned in dramatic fashion late on.

Daniel Jones equalised on 86 minutes before one of the most iconic moments in Australia Cup history would transpire, courtesy of Liam Boland's 92nd minute screamer.

The forward spotted Ivan Necevski off his line and unleashed a speculative first-time drive  from 40 yards out which flew into the net.

It was an absolute worldie, worthy of winning any football match and it certainly decided this tie as Green Gully advanced to the last 16 with a 2-1 triumph.

A moment eternally etched in Australia Cup folklore.
