The final step on the road to the Round of 32 has been revealed for clubs in Victoria following Thursday’s Australia Cup Preliminary Round 7 draw.
The last ten clubs have learned their fate and will face off for Victoria’s five final round spots for the 2022 Australia Cup.
After facing one another on Tuesday night in the league, Melbourne Knights will again host Oakleigh Cannons at Knights Stadium in one of two all NPL Victoria clashes.
The other all NPL clash sees Dandenong Thunder, who look to qualify for the finals rounds for the first time host cup regulars Heidelberg United at George Andrews Reserve.
Three sides from State League One North-West, the fourth tier of Victorian football Banyule City, Whittlesea United and Brimbank Stallions have reached Preliminary Round 7.
Brimbank will play host to Avondale while Banyule and Whittlesea are on the road against Bentleigh Greens and Green Gully respectively.
Victoria was awarded an additional fifth slot in the Final Rounds of the Australia Cup this year after the National Premier Leagues (NPL) Finals Series was unfortunately not held in 2021 due to COVID-19, meaning that there was one additional slot was available to be assigned to a Member Federation for the Australia Cup 2022.
Victoria’s Preliminary Round 7 match ups will take place on Tuesday the 14th and Wednesday the 15th of June with specific match details to be locked in shortly.
