WATCH: Phoenix create history with win over City

Wellington Phoenix have created history by reaching the FFA Cup Semi Finals for the first time with a nail-biting penalty shootout victory over Melbourne City on Wednesday night.

After the sides could not be separated in the 120 minutes at Kingston Heath Soccer Complex, penalties decided who would reach the last four of the competition.

But, despite failing to convert three consecutive penalties, it was Phoenix who were victorious in the end, with 19-year-old goalkeeper Alex Paulsen making three saves in the shootout.
